Dviant Image has grown over the last year in ways I could have never foreseen. Content management is become a weekly effort, instead of just monthly. Photography grew into its own animal. Event and brand management, while still part of the mix, came in last in terms of total hours worked. It was definitely a strange year. This year, we move forward with a couple of major changes, and a bunch little ones. Being that photography is such a large part of the business (and a personal endeavor of improvement for yours truly), I decided to set aside another brand altogether for it. It's MotoHD.net. Previous customers will find that it is easier to navigate and find the photos you want, and potential clients can find information related directly to photography, instead of sorting through irrelevant info. The business hasn't really changed - just its face. Checks still get written to (or rather, from) Dviant Image. Also, Dragr. Apparel has been placed in hiatus until we can get financing to take it forward. It reached critical mass early on, and frankly, without financial support, there is no way to move forward. If there is any interest in helping finance this project, please contact me directly. Now for the little things - well, hopefully they're going to become big things. I'm working with the US 129 Photos Race Team on some sponsorships and helping them manage some aspects of their season. It seems that even though most racers have a hard time finding sponsorships, this team seems to have them clamoring just to be put on the website. Why? Well, it's in the top 100,000 websites in the world by volume, and it's frequented my motorcycle enthusiasts making it a perfect venue for exposure. In addition, I will be working on getting the team to local events to showcase the race bikes and their associated models (oh yeah, I'm working with them too). So this year in amateur road racing should be packed with elbow rubbing and name dropping and perhaps a whole lot of fun. |
